David Simmons - Hear Me Out (Fantasy, 1978)

First off, this is not my vinyl rip. I got this from the Tunes From The Shed blog a long while ago (I guess it is now defunct), so all props to the guy that ran that. Hope he/she doesn't mind... just trying to keep the good music out and alive. I'll Be What You Want is one of my favorites...

Gonzalez - Shipwrecked (1977)

English Jazz-Funk/Disco group, this album was released in '77. Mostly uptempo disco-ish dance tracks, with a couple of jazzier tracks. Check out Bob Gropes Blues. Get it here.

Starfire - Starfire (1980)

Good funky soul from 1980 (album was recorded in Richmond, VA)... features some disco-ish funk tracks, but also has some more soulful ballads. Good stuff, get it here.

Terumasa Hino - Daydream (1980)

Released in 1980... I don't exactly know if this has already been uploaded to the blogosphere, but if it hasn't, here it is. Includes some larger names such as Steve Gadd, and even has Luther Vandross utilizing his vocals.

L.T.D. - Love To The World (1976)

Production from the Mizell Brothers, and that's all you really need to know! J Dilla sampled "Love Ballad" for De La's "Much More", and there are a couple other tracks that could be sampled. Get it here.
